Iran-related Designations
The Office of Foreign Assets Control adds ten entities and eight crude oil or chemical tankers to the Specially Designated Nationals List under Executive Order 13902. The designated entities, including shipping companies and marine service authorities based in Hong Kong, the Marshall Islands, and Iran, are subject to asset freezes and U.S. person transaction prohibitions. Two entities, the Hormuzsafe Marine Services Authority and the Persian Gulf Marine Insurance Company, are additionally subject to secondary sanctions. The listed vessels are linked to specific designated companies and are similarly blocked from U.S. jurisdiction.
