The Bank of Portugal amends paragraph 5 of Part I of the annex to Notice No. 1/93 to align with European Commission Directive 95/67/EC. The amendment updates the definition of multilateral development banks to include the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development, the International Finance Corporation, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, the Inter-American Development Bank, the Asian Development Bank, the African Development Bank, the Council of Europe Social Development Fund, the Nordic Investment Bank, the Caribbean Development Bank, the European Investment Fund, and the Inter-American Investment Corporation. This change takes effect on December 3, 1996.

Notices from the Bank of Portugal Notice No. 6/96 Commission Directive No. 95/67/EC of 15-12-95, published in the Official Journal of the European Communities on 28-12-95, amended the concept of 'multilateral development banks' contained in Directive No. 89/647/EEC, relating to the solvency ratio. It being necessary to modify, in conformity, paragraph 5 of Part I of the annex to Notice No. 1/93, published in the Official Gazette (DR), 2nd series, on 8-6-93, with the amendment contained in paragraph 2 of Notice No. 12/95, published in the Official Gazette (DR), 2nd series, on 8-11-95: The Bank of Portugal, using the competence conferred upon it by item a) of Article 99 of the General Regime of Credit Institutions and Financial Companies, determines the following: Sole Article.
