OFFICIAL LETTER modifying the terms of the authorization for the establishment in national territory of MUFG Bank, Ltd

We refer to Official Letter No.: 312-1/0315/2020 dated October 19, 2020, whereby

this Commission, based on the Eleventh, section VI of the Rules of representative offices

of foreign financial entities (the Rules) authorized Mr. Ko Shimomura to serve

as new representative of MUFG Bank, Ltd., Representative Office in Mexico , from the date

of the referred official letter, in substitution of Mr. Masao Sasamaya.

As a consequence of the above, this Commission, based on the Fourth, second paragraph of the

Rules, resolves to modify the resolution point FIRST of the " Resolution modifying the authorization

granted to the foreign financial entity The Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ, Ltd., to establish a

representative office in Mexico "

issued by the Secretariat of Finance and Public Credit via official

letter UBA/033/2006 dated February 9, 2006, published in the Official Gazette of the Federation on

February 24, 2006, which was last modified by this Commission via official letter 312-2/66299/2018

dated May 22, 2018, published in the Official Gazette of the Federation on

June 13, 2018, to remain worded in the following terms:

" ...

FIRST. - The representative office must adjust in all that corresponds to its

operation, to the provisions of Article 7 of the Credit Institutions Law and in the Rules

of representative offices of foreign financial entities and, in particular, to the following:

I.

It must at all times bear the name of MUFG Bank, Ltd. , followed by the

expression " Representative Office in Mexico ".

II.

It will have its domicile in Mexico City.

III.

Its representative will be Mr. Ko Shimomura.

... "

In this sense, in accordance with the Fourth, second paragraph of the Rules,

MUFG Bank, Ltd., Representative

Office in Mexico , must notify the Bank of Mexico and the Secretariat of Finance and Public

Credit of the modification referred to in the previous paragraph, within the ten calendar days following the

date of receipt of this official letter, attaching a copy of the same.

Likewise, this Commission, based on Articles 97 of the Credit Institutions Law and 19 of

the Law of the National Banking and Securities Commission, requires MUFG Bank, Ltd., Representative

Office in Mexico , to inform this authority of the publication date of this official letter in

the Official Gazette of the Federation, within a period of ten business days, counted from the date on which

the referred publication is carried out, attaching a copy of the same. The foregoing, on the understanding that said

publication must be processed within the fifteen business days following the date of receipt

of this

official letter.

This official letter is issued based on Articles 16, antepenultimate paragraph of the Law of the

National Banking and Securities Commission; 12 , 17, section X, 19, sections I, subsection f), II, III and last paragraph and

40, sections I and IV of the Internal Regulations of the National Banking and Securities Commission.
