Proclamation Fixing Commencement Date for Insurance (Amendment) Act, 2020

By Her Excellency PAULA-MAE WEEKES, O.R.T.T., President of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces PAULA-MAE WEEKES President A PROCLAMATION WHEREAS it is provided by section 2 of the Insurance (Amendment) Act, 2020 (hereinafter referred to as “the Act”) that the Act shall come into operation on such date as is fixed by the President by Proclamation: And whereas it is expedient that the Act comes into operation: Now, therefore, I, PAULA-MAE WEEKES, President as aforesaid, do hereby fix the 1st day of January, 2021, as the date on which the Act shall come into operation.
