PSD Circular Letter No. 02: Time Schedule of Banks (BACH & RTGS) for the Month of Holy Ramadan of Hijri 1443

Dear Sir,

Regarding the determination of the time schedule for BACH and RTGS during the holy month of Ramadan of Hijri 1443 (2022 AD).

Except for weekly and government holidays during the holy month of Ramadan of Hijri 1443, the operations of Bangladesh Automated Clearing House (BACH) and Real Time Gross Settlement (RTGS) will be conducted according to the following schedule on other working days.

1. Transactions of Bangladesh Automated Clearing House (BACH): a) BACH Clearing Sessions: Morning Session - Closing Time: 11:30 AM, Closing Time: 1:30 PM Afternoon Session - Closing Time: 12:00 PM, Closing Time: 3:00 PM b) Two sessions of ECH will remain open according to the previous schedule on the relevant days.

2. Transactions of Real Time Gross Settlement (RTGS): a) All transactions from 9:30 AM to 2:30 PM b) Customs Duty E-Payment (Circular No. 08, Ref. 41), Interbank Fund Transfer (Circular No. 09), and Weekend Clearing from 2:30 PM to 3:30 PM c) Interbank Fund Transfer (Circular No. 09) and Weekend Clearing from 3:30 PM to 4:00 PM

3. After the holy month of Ramadan is over, the time schedule for BACH and RTGS will return to the pre-Ramadan schedule.
