1. Background Reference is made to the circular issued by the Authority on 30 June 2021 regarding the publication of the MFSA’s Authorisation Charter, Processes and Application Forms. As mentioned in this circular, the MFSA is committed to continue investing in building its technological capacity to increase efficiencies and reduce the regulatory burden on applicants and authorised persons. To this effect, the Authority is pleased to present Form AA42: Application for the Incorporation of Cells, which details were previously captured under Form AA12. Form AA42 has been separated from Form AA12 purposely to simplify the application process, increase efficiency and to make the requirements clearer from the outset.
2. Transitory Period The MFSA will continue to accept submissions by Applicants using Form AA12, as the previous application form for applicants seeking to apply for the incorporation of cell, until 16 June 2023. From this day onwards, only Form AA42 will be accepted by the MFSA in relation to applications related to the incorporation of cells.
