Subject: - Financial Data for the Year 2021 - General Statistics Department

Greetings,

The General Statistics Department annually conducts numerous sample statistical surveys covering all economic sectors to provide data on enterprise activity for the previous year prior to the visit, used for calculating Gross Domestic Product, in addition to quarterly data used for calculating quarterly economic indicators. It is noted that this data is considered confidential according to Article 11(a) of Statistics Law No. 12 of 2012, which states as follows:

"All individual information and data submitted to the Department and related to any survey or census are confidential. The Department or any of its employees are not permitted to disclose them, in whole or in part, to any person or public or private entity, or use them for any purpose other than preparing statistical tables," under penalty of legal responsibility.

It is also noted that paragraphs (a) and (b) of Article 9 of the same law state as follows: (a) Every natural or legal person must provide all data requested of them by the Department's employees assigned to any statistical or census work, whether individual data or data related to their profession or private business, commercial or industrial, and must provide it in the manner and date specified by the Department. (b) The persons mentioned in paragraph (a) of this article must facilitate the task of the Department's employees; therefore, the General Statistics Department requests cooperation from researchers and instructs insurance agents, brokers, consultants, and loss adjusters to provide them with the financial data for the year 2021 or through you, without mentioning any individual data related to insured persons.
