Resolution 030/98 Authorizing the Issuance of Fourth Minting Coins
The Board of Directors of the Central Bank of Bolivia authorizes the issuance of coins with denominations of Bs2, Bs1, 50 centavos, and 20 centavos from the Fourth Minting. The resolution specifies the total monetary value and number of pieces for each denomination: Bs2 (Bs22,000,000 total, 11,000,000 pieces), Bs1 (Bs17,000,000 total, 17,000,000 pieces), 50 centavos (Bs7,500,000 total, 15,000,000 pieces), and 20 centavos (Bs3,800,000 total, 19,000,000 pieces). Lic. Pablo Zegarra is designated to represent the Board at the monetization ceremony, and the Presidency and General Management are tasked with executing the resolution.
BOARD RESOLUTION NO. 030/98 SUBJECT: CURRENCY AND CREDIT - AUTHORIZES THE ISSUANCE OF COINS WITH DENOMINATIONS OF Bs2, Bs1, 50c, AND 20c, CORRESPONDING TO THE FOURTH MINTING.
HAVING REVIEWED: Law 1670 of October 31, 1995. Law 901 of November 28, 1986, which creates the "Boliviano" as the legal and mandatory unit of currency. Report DTESO No. 008/98 from the Currency and Credit Management dated March 12, 1998. Report from the Legal Affairs Unit UAJUR No. 165/98 dated March 15, 1998.
CONSIDERING: That according to Article 10 of Law 1670, the BCB exercises exclusively and inalienably the function of issuing Bolivia's monetary unit, in the form of banknotes and metal coins.
That the BCB has received from the company Deutsche Nickel Ag. of Germany, the coins with denominations of Bs2, Bs1, 50c, and 20c corresponding to the Fourth Minting.
That it is within the authority of the Board of Directors, in accordance with Article 54 item m) of Law 1670, to authorize and supervise the issuance of coins.
THEREFORE,
THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CENTRAL BANK OF BOLIVIA RESOLVES:

Article 1.- Authorize the issuance of the coins with denominations of Bs2, Bs1, 50c, and 20c corresponding to the Fourth Minting, according to the following detail:
