CIRCULAR: PI/PF/CIR/02/2015 EFFECTIVE DATE: 7 September 2015 SUBJECT: REVOCATION OF CIRCULAR NO. PI/PF/CIR/01/2015
1 Introduction 1.1 Circular no. PI/PF/CIR/01/2015, dated 25 June 2015, was issued by virtue of NAMFISA’s functions and powers and those of its CEO in his capacity as the Registrar of Pension Funds, in terms of the Namibia Financial Institutions Supervisory Authority Act No. 3 of 2001, and is applicable to all registered pension fund organizations under the Pension Funds Act No. 24 of 1956 (“PF Act”).
1.2 The purpose of this Circular is to notify the industry of the revocation of Circular no. PI/PF/CIR/01/2015, dated 25 June 2015, pertaining to approved bills, bonds, securities, loans, institutions and countries.
2 Revocation of Circular no. PI/PF/CIR/01/2015 After having considered the concerns raised by various stakeholders in the pension funds industry with respect to the implementation of the abovementioned Circular, the Registrar, in the interest of practicality and the furtherance of a stable financial services sector, hereby revokes the aforesaid Circular no. PI/PF/CIR/01/2015 with immediate effect.

The Registrar however reserves the right to issue a new Circular to replace the aforesaid Circular as and when it is deemed necessary.
