The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) has issued a circular modifying the Master Circular for Research Analysts to expand the pool of eligible auditors. The regulator now permits members of the Institute of Cost Accountants of India to conduct annual compliance audits alongside Chartered Accountants and Company Secretaries. This change, effective immediately, allows cost accountants to verify adherence to SEBI regulations and submit required audit reports to the Research Analyst Administration and Supervisory Body.
