The Monetary Authority of Singapore issued the Securities And Futures (Trade Repositories) Regulations 2013 to establish licensing requirements and operational obligations for trade repositories. These regulations mandate specific governance standards, including key appointments and corporate governance frameworks, to ensure robust operational risk management. The legal framework was subsequently amended in 2013 and 2018 to refine supervisory powers and align with broader financial sector regulations.
