Dear Sir,

Subject: Regarding the format for reporting on Sustainable Finance.

1. Reference is drawn to SFD Circular No. 03, dated October 22, 2023, issued by Bangladesh Bank.

2. The aforementioned circular was issued covering matters related to the Environment Conservation Rules 2023, the Green Credit Policy 2022-2041, and other associated issues, including the inclusion of sustainable finance in the business model, the development/measurement of green credit/green loan/green bond, and environmental protection.

3. Instructions were previously provided via SFD Circular No. 05/2020 and SFD Circular Letter No. 02/2022 to submit reports to this department every month within the last working day of the following month, according to the format decided on this matter. Now, in light of SFD Circular No. 03/2023, the measurement format for the Sustainable Finance Report is attached herewith. Banks and financial institutions are instructed to submit reports according to the aforementioned format to this department every month within the last working day of the following month.

4. This instruction is issued under the powers conferred by Section 45 of the Bank Company Act, 1991, and Section 18(c) of the Financial Institutions Act, 1993, and shall take effect immediately.
