The Central Bank of Bolivia mandates that financial entities must adhere to specific packaging, labeling, and integrity standards for US dollar cash deposits intended for the Federal Reserve. The regulation defines precise requirements for banknote condition, banding, and packaging, including the use of transparent security bags for transport. These consolidated rules replace the previous SGDB No. 008/2011 circular and apply to all financial entities handling such deposits.

FROM: GENERAL MANAGEMENT INTERNATIONAL OPERATIONS DEPARTMENT TO: FINANCIAL ENTITIES SUBJECT: SENDING US DOLLARS TO THE FEDERAL RESERVE – CONSOLIDATED CIRCULAR
Ladies and Gentlemen:
Effective immediately, cash deposits of United States dollars (USD) made by financial entities at the Central Bank of Bolivia (BCB) must comply with the following characteristics in accordance with the standards established by the Federal Reserve of the United States:
For banknotes
For bands
For packages
Before sending USD in cash to the Federal Reserve Bank of the United States, the Treasury Sub-Management of the Central Bank of Bolivia, together with a representative of each financial entity, will proceed as follows:
For packages:
Subsequently, with the participation of a representative of the BCB's value transport company, the following procedure will be carried out for bagging:

External Circular of the Central Bank of Bolivia SGDB No. 008/2011 of February 10, 2011, is hereby repealed.
