Statement Update to Securities Market Intermediaries

The Securities and Exchange Commission extends the submission deadline for audited financial statements to 31 May 2020 and quarterly returns to 15 May 2020. This adjustment applies to all securities market intermediaries following the declaration of a national disaster and a 21-day lockdown effective 30 March 2020. The Commission remains closed to visitors during this period, directing stakeholders to use email and social media platforms for communication.

NOTICE: SS02/04/2020 NOTICE TO ALL SECURITIES MARKET INTERMEDIARIES ON SUBMISSION OF AUDITED FINANCIAL STATEMENTS AND QUARTERLY RETURNS Following the declaration by His Excellency, President E.D. Mnangagwa that COVID - 19 is a national disaster and the subsequent effecting of a 21 day lockdown period effective 30 March 2020, the Securities and Exchange Commission hereby extends the deadline for submission of audited financial statements and quarterly returns to the following : Reports Type Old Submission Due Date New Submission Due Date Audited Financial Statements 31 March 2020 31st May 2020 Quarterly Returns 14 April 2020 15th May 2020 The Securities and Exchange Commission of Zimbabwe is closed to all outside visitors during the national lockdown. We therefore encourage our stakeholders to interact with us through email and social media platforms. Skeletal staff is manning the office, therefore the SECZ reception is closed during this period.
