BCRP STUDY NOTES No. 54 – July 31, 2026 8 / 12 19. For banking companies, the ratio of external liabilities to total credit to the private sector registered a level of 12.3 percent in June 2026. It is observed that this coefficient has remained around 12 percent during the year 2025. This reflects a lower leverage of banking with the outside and a higher proportion of more stable funding, such as deposits. Likewise, this definition includes both external liabilities in foreign currency as those issued in national currency by financial entities abroad. External liabilities in soles amount to S/ 6,755 million; while, external liabilities in dollars, to USD 11,879 million. BCRPData/NELYC202606G6 V. FINANCIAL SAVINGS 20. The balance of financial savings3 did not vary in the month, but an annual growth of 12.5 percent is registered. This monthly evolution is explained mainly by an increase in the equity of private pension funds (2.1 percent) and in the equity of mutual funds (1.0 percent), which is compensated by a reduction in deposits (0.9 percent) and the rest of components (0.6 percent). BCRPData/NELYC202606C10 3 Starting from the Study Note of January 2025, the concept of financial savings is reported, which is a measure of savings in medium and long-term assets, so demand deposits and immediate obligations are excluded from the concept of savings of the financial system, presented until December 2024. BCRP STUDY NOTES No. 54 – July 31, 2026 10 / 12 ANNEX: RESULTS OF THE CREDIT CONDITIONS SURVEY II QUARTER 2026 Between July 1 and 17, 2026, the Central Bank carried out the LIII Credit Conditions Survey (ECC) directed to representatives of the risk, commercial and finance areas of the different commercial banking institutions in the country. This annex shows the results of this survey, which presents qualitative information about the behavior and, prospects of credit supply and demand. The focus is on the risk faced by the entity for supply conditions and on perceptions about the customer for demand conditions. To summarize the survey responses, an index of evolution of credit conditions is prepared that fluctuates between 0 and 100. Thus, for the case of supply conditions, values above 50 indicate a "relaxation" of credit conditions, while values below 50 indicate a "tightening" of credit conditions and a value of 50 indicates a neutral position. Secondly, for the case of demand conditions, values above 50 indicate an improvement in demand prospects by banking entities; values below 50, a deterioration of these; and a value of 50 a neutral position. Likewise, for the case of delinquency, values above 50 will indicate an increase in the perception of delinquency; while values below 50, a reduction of this. Current situation Regarding supply conditions, the results show a deterioration compared to the previous quarter for the company segments, whose indicators went from the neutral to the pessimistic range. This deterioration is similar to that observed in the second and third quarter of 2023, when a tightening of credit conditions associated with the expectations of a strong intensity El Niño Phenomenon was recorded.
