The Insurance (Pension Fund Plans Registration Fees) Regulations 2020

LEGAL NOTICE NO. 381 REPUBLIC OF TRINIDAD AND TOBAGO THE INSURANCE ACT, 2018 REGULATIONS MADE BY THE MINISTER UNDER SECTION 279 OF THE INSURANCE ACT AND SUBJECT TO NEGATIVE RESOLUTION OF PARLIAMENT THE INSURANCE (PENSION FUND PLANS REGISTRATION FEES) REGULATIONS, 2020

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Insurance (Pension Fund Plans Registration Fees) Regulations, 2020.
2. In these Regulations– “Act” means the Insurance Act, 2018; “pension fund plan”, “plan” and “registered plan” shall have the same meaning as “privately administered pension fund plan” in the Act.
3. There shall be payable for the registration of a pension fund plan, a fee of two thousand five hundred dollars.
4. (1) Subject to regulation 3, there shall be payable for the registration of any amendment of the Trust Deed and Rules of a registered plan or for any correction of the register occasioned by a change in the address of such plan or in the names or addresses of the trustees thereof, a fee of one thousand dollars. (2) No fee shall be payable for the registration of any amendment or correction required, either expressly or by necessary implication, by any written law.
5. All fees prescribed by these Regulations shall be paid to the Central Bank.
6. These Regulations shall come into operation on 1st January,
