UNAPPROVED 2022 FUND RULES HERITAGE HEALTH MEDICAL AID FUND The Namibia Financial Institutions Supervisory Authority (NAMFISA) exists to supervise financial institutions and financial services, and to advise the Minister of Finance on matters relating to financial institutions and financial services in terms of the Namibia Financial Institutions Supervisory Authority Act, 2001 (No. 3 of 2001). NAMFISA hereby notifies the members of Heritage Health Medical Aid Fund (Heritage Health), and the public, that any increase in contributions, amendments to benefit limits, introduction of new benefit options that have been implemented by Heritage Health with effect from the 1 st of May 2022, (other than the amendments indicated in this Notice) have not been approved by the Registrar of Medical Aid Funds (the Registrar). The following amendments are the only alterations to the contribution rates permitted by Heritage Health and the increases should only be affected on the contribution structures approved in 2018 and not the unapproved structures implemented in 2019 to date. Approved changes to the Contribution Structure: Category Benefit option Approved increase Comprehensive benefit Hoodia Less than 10% Hospital Plans Kiaat (formerly known as Moringa and Makalani) Less than 10% Acacia (formerly known as Marigold) Less than 10% Baobab (formerly known as Lavender) Less than 10% Day-to-day plans Standard Less than 6% Super (formerly known as Prime) Less than 4 % In terms of section 31(1) of the Medical Aid Funds Act,1995 (Act No. 23 of 1995) (the Act), no alteration, rescission or addition to a registered medical aid fund’s rule shall be valid unless it has been approved by the Registrar and registered under section 31(2) of

the Act. Considering the above, members of Heritage Health and the public are not obligated to pay contribution rates other than those stipulated above.
