ATVP Established the Register of INR Providers

Individual Investment Accounts

The Securities Market Agency (ATVP) has established a Register of Individual Investment Account (INR) providers on its website and entered the first six INR providers into it. The Register is publicly accessible on the ATVP website and will be regularly updated with information about the providers and the services they offer regarding INRs. In this regard, ATVP warns that INRs can only be offered by persons entered in this register.

In accordance with the Law on Individual Investment Accounts (ZINR), which came into effect today, INRs can only be offered by persons entered in the Register of INR Providers. Stockbrokerage companies, asset management companies, and certain banks providing investment services in Slovenia may be entered into it based on an ATVP decision. In addition to domestic providers, individuals from other EU member states providing investment services in Slovenia directly or through branches will also be able to offer individual investment accounts. These persons must also be entered in the Register of INR Providers.

With the aim of ensuring adequate protection for INR holders, ATVP will conduct supervision to verify that INR providers operate in the manner required by the ZINR when performing services related to these accounts.
