BRPD Circular Letter No. 25: Name change of BASIC Bank Limited to BASIC Bank PLC
The Bangladesh Bank has officially changed the name of 'BASIC Bank Limited (Bangladesh Small Industries and Commerce Bank Ltd.)' to 'BASIC Bank PLC (Bangladesh Small Industries and Commerce Bank PLC)' in the list of scheduled banks, effective Thursday, 05 Agrahayan 1432 (20 November 2025). This action is taken in accordance with Rule 11C(a) of the Companies Act, 1994. A copy of the notification number BRPD(LS-1)/745(09)/2025-15094 dated 20 November 2025 is attached for the information and necessary action of all scheduled banks operating in Bangladesh.
