BRPD Circular Letter No. 79: Name change of Standard Bank Ltd to Standard Bank PLC
The Bangladesh Bank officially changed the name of 'Standard Bank Limited' to 'Standard Bank PLC' in the list of scheduled banks, effective Monday, December 26, 2023. This action was taken under Section 11K(a) of the Companies Act, 1994 and Section 37(2)(p) of the Bangladesh Bank Order, 1972. A copy of the relevant notification (BRPD(LS-1)/745(43)/2023-11195) is attached for the information and necessary action of all scheduled banks operating in Bangladesh.
