Central Bank of Jordan Notice on Insurance Supervision Communication Channels
The Central Bank of Jordan mandates that insurance companies, the Jordanian Insurance Companies Union, insurance business management companies, banks licensed to conduct insurance activities, and the Jordanian Insurance Brokers Association direct all official correspondence to the Central Bank of Jordan. This requirement follows the transfer of insurance supervision to the Central Bank effective June 15, 2021, under Insurance Activities Regulation Law No. 12 of 2021. The notice provides specific email addresses and phone extensions for general supervision and the Insurance Dispute Resolution Department. Additionally, regulated entities are required to submit the names and contact details of their authorized representatives for receiving official letters.
