CMN RESOLUTION NO. 5,126, OF APRIL 8, 2024

Adjusts the limit value for the classification of rural credit operations in the Agricultural Activity Guarantee Program (Proagro).

The Central Bank of Brazil, in accordance with Article 9 of Law No. 4,595, of December 31, 1964, makes it public that the National Monetary Council, in an extraordinary session held on April 8, 2024, in view of the provisions of Article 4, item VI, of the aforementioned law, Articles 4, 5, and 14 of Law No. 4,829, of November 5, 1965, Articles 59, 65-A, and 66-A of Law No. 8,171, of January 17, 1991, and Article 4 of Decree No. 175, of July 10, 1991,

R E S O L V E S

Article 1. Section 2 (Classification) of Chapter 12 (Agricultural Activity Guarantee Program - Proagro) of the Manual of Rural Credit (MCR) shall enter into force with the following alterations:

“4 - The agricultural operating venture of up to R$270,000.00 (two hundred and seventy thousand reais), whose crop is included in the Zarc, financed with participation of controlled resources, must be fully enrolled in Proagro, observing the conditions established in items 17 and 18.” (NR)

“5 - The venture is exempt from the obligation established in item 4, in its entirety, if its value, added to the values of the ventures enrolled in the same agricultural year, exceeds the mandatory limit of R$270,000.00 (two hundred and seventy thousand reais).” (NR)

“17 - The limit for enrolling resources in Proagro with the same beneficiary is R$270,000.00 (two hundred and seventy thousand reais) for operating expenses, per agricultural year, regardless of the number of ventures supported by one or more agents of the program, observing the provisions of item 18.” (NR)

Article 2. This Resolution enters into force on July 1, 2024.
