Decision on Conducting Thematic Control within Insurance Companies
The National Financial Market Commission (CNPF) of Moldova has initiated a thematic administrative control procedure targeting the nine domestic compulsory third-party liability (RCA) insurance providers. The investigation focuses on verifying compliance with statutory deadlines and legal obligations regarding the handling of damage claims, specifically addressing systemic issues such as payment refusals and delays identified through 144 consumer petitions in 2025. The control, conducted at the CNPF headquarters, covers the period from January 1 to September 30, 2025, and is scheduled to conclude within 155 days by a designated two-member inspection team.
