DOS Circular Letter No. 14: Ensuring swift and smooth banking service for the payment of Garment Workers' wages on the occasion of the holy Eid-Ul Azha
The Department of Off-Site Supervision advises all scheduled banks operating in Bangladesh to provide swift and smooth banking services to ensure the timely payment of wages and allowances to garment and other factory workers ahead of the Eid-Ul Azha holiday. This directive is issued in accordance with Decision No. 07 (Miscellaneous-C) from a meeting held by the Ministry of Home Affairs on September 13, 2015, which also addressed industrial law and order. Banks are instructed to facilitate these payments and manage Letter of Credit (LC) operations effectively during this period.
