Feedback from recent reviews of the selling of investment products

The Hong Kong Monetary Authority issued this circular to provide feedback on key observations and practices noted during recent reviews of investment product sales by authorized institutions. The document updates regulatory standards by superseding a previous paragraph with guidance from the HKMA’s March 2025 circular on the selling of accumulators. It serves as a reference for all authorized institutions to ensure compliance with current suitability assessment and selling practices in wealth management.
