FEPD Circular No. 40: Use of international cards for travels outside Bangladesh
Authorized Dealers may now provide acquiring services to Bangladeshi travel operators for online payments made via international cards for air, hotel, railway, ship, and bus tickets for travel between destinations outside Bangladesh. Cardholders must hold a visa where applicable, and travel operators must maintain tie-ups with internationally recognized counterparts and retain payments in margin accounts for remittances, refunds, commissions, and taxes. Operators must intimate their agreements to the Foreign Exchange Policy Department at least one month before commencing business and preserve supporting documents for five years.
