Generative Artificial Intelligence Sandbox – Practical Insights Report
The Hong Kong Monetary Authority and Cyberport launched the GenA.I. Sandbox to foster responsible innovation by providing a risk-controlled environment for banks to develop and test generative AI solutions. The inaugural cohort demonstrated the technology's potential in risk management, anti-fraud, and customer experience through 15 use cases, while yielding practical engineering insights on data preparation, model optimization, and risk mitigation. Building on these findings, the initiative will continue to explore innovative applications and the "A.I. vs A.I." paradigm to better manage risks arising from AI adoption.
