Regarding Point of Sale Transaction Fees
Based on the provisions of Law Decree No. (9) of 2010 regarding Banks, particularly Articles (40 and 72) thereof, and on the provisions of Law Decree No. (41) of 2022 regarding National Payments, particularly Articles (7 and 18) thereof, and subsequently to Instructions No. (7) of 2025 regarding Point of Sale Transaction Fees, and based on the powers delegated to us, and in pursuit of the public interest, we have issued the following Instructions:
Article (1)
Definitions
The Original Instructions: Instructions No. (7) of 2025 regarding Point of Sale Transaction Fees.
Article (2)
Point of Sale Transaction Fees
Extension of the application of Article (2) of the Original Instructions until 31/12/2026.
Article (3)
Implementation and Enforcement
All competent authorities shall implement the provisions of these Instructions, each within its respective jurisdiction, and they shall apply as of their date of issuance.
