International Obligations (Economic and Ancillary Measures) Act: UNSCR Reference SC16433 ISIL (Da’esh) and Al Qaida

The Securities Commission of The Bahamas advises licensees and registrants that the United Nations Security Council Committee amended four entries on its ISIL (Da’esh) and Al-Qaida Sanctions List on August 14, 2026, including individuals AMIN MUHAMMAD UL HAQ SAAM KHAN, ABUBAKAR SWALLEH, HAMIDA NABAGGALA, and the entity ISLAMIC STATE IN IRAQ AND THE LEVANT - KHORASAN (ISIL-K). Licensees and registrants are required to immediately identify and freeze funds or other assets of, and cease providing services to, any identified person or entity. Any match or suspected match must be reported to the Commission using the Targeted Financial Sanctions Reporting Form, with non-compliance incurring a fine up to $250,000.00 or a minimum daily fine of $200.00.
