Regulation on Credit and Payment Cards Used in Lebanon

The Governor of the Central Bank of Lebanon,
Based on Basic Decision No. 7299 dated June 10, 1999 (Lebanese Banking and Credit/Payment Cards), pursuant to Article 2 thereof, Has decided as follows:

Article 1: The Regulation on Credit and Payment Cards Used in Lebanon is published as follows, stipulated under Article 1:
For the conditions specified in Basic Decision No. 7299 dated June 10, 1999:

  1. Visa (and all cards issued by Visa company)
  2. MasterCard (and all cards issued by MasterCard company)
  3. American Express
  4. Diners Club
  5. China UnionPay
  6. JCB Card

Article 2: Decision No. 12782 dated April 10, 2018 is hereby repealed.

Article 3: This decision shall be published in the Official Gazette and takes effect as necessary.
