The President of Uzbekistan mandates the phased implementation of the 'Unified Social Protection Registry' information system starting September 1, 2020, to automate the processing of social pension applications and interagency electronic cooperation. From January 1, 2021, state bodies are prohibited from requiring citizens to submit documents listed in Appendix 2, allowing registered individuals to access services without additional paperwork. The Ministry of Finance is tasked with acquiring necessary hardware by December 31, 2020, while the Ministry of Justice must establish electronic databases for civil status records by January 1, 2021, funded by 30 billion soums from the republican budget. Additionally, military and security personnel are restricted from applying for these social benefits through the registry.
