Press Release on Issue of TRY 50 Banknotes of E9 Series, Version IX and TRY 5 Banknotes of E9 Series, Version VIII (2026-39)

Türkiye Cumhuriyet Merkez Bankası (Central Bank of the Republic of Türkiye) Head Office Hacı Bayram Mahallesi İstiklal Caddesi 10 06050 Ulus Altındağ / Ankara +90 (312) 507 50 00 www.tcmb.gov.tr Press Release on Issue of TRY 50 Banknotes of E9 Series, Version IX and TRY 5 Banknotes of E9 Series, Version VIII September 11, 2026 No: 2026-39 As per the authorization given to the Central Bank of the Republic of Türkiye by Law No. 1211, the E9 series, version IX banknotes in denomination of TRY 50 and version VIII banknotes in denomination of TRY 5 will be put into circulation as of September 11, 2026. Compared to TRY 50 and TRY 5 banknotes of E9 series in circulation, the signatures on TRY 50 banknotes of version IX and TRY 5 banknotes of version VIII have been rearranged to include the signature of Governor Fatih Karahan, and the signatures of the following authorities in respective order: • Deputy Governor Gazi İshak Kara, Ph.D. • Deputy Governor Prof. Fatma Özkul. Except for the signatures, the new banknotes will be identical to their previous versions with regard to dimensions, obverse and reverse compositions, general features and appearances.
