Press Release on the Application Results of the Call to Join the Digital Turkish Lira Project Ecosystem
The Central Bank of the Republic of Türkiye (CBRT) completed the evaluation of applications for the Call to Join the Digital Turkish Lira Project Ecosystem. Out of 85 initial project applications received from banks, and payment and electronic money institutions, 51 met the first-stage criteria. Following a second-stage evaluation, 23 projects from 12 banks and 6 payment and electronic money institutions were deemed eligible to proceed to the third stage, which involves development activities and sandbox testing. An additional 6 projects have been placed on hold for potential future inclusion in the third stage.
