The Hong Kong Monetary Authority informs authorized institutions that the electronic submission of the Return of Liquidity Position via the STET system is now operational. Institutions are required to use the downloadable electronic form to report their liquidity positions starting from the reporting period ending on 31 January 2015. The final version of the return and its completion instructions are available on the HKMA website, with further updates regarding modified compliance certificates to follow.
Banking Policy Department 銀行政策部 Our Ref.: B1/15C S4/16C 4 February 2015 The Chief Executive All Authorized Institutions Dear Sir/Madam, Return of Liquidity Position of an Authorized Institution (Form MA(BS)1E) Further to our letter of 24 December 2014, I am writing to inform you that our systems can now accommodate submission of this Return by authorized institutions (AIs) via the STET system. The final version of this Return (and the accompanying Completion Instructions) is accessible on the HKMA’s public website (http://www.hkma.gov.hk/eng/key-functions/banking-stability/banking-policy-and-sup ervision/regulatory-framework.shtml). The electronic form of the Return is now available for AIs to download from the HKMA’s supervisory communication website (http://www.stet.iclnet.hk). AIs should use the electronic form to report their liquidity positions to the HKMA, via the STET system, starting from the reporting period which ended on 31 January 2015. We will notify you in due course when the templates for the modified version of the “Certificate of Compliance with the Banking Ordinance" (Forms MA(BS)1F(a) and (b)) are available for downloading by AIs.
