Revised Certificate of Compliance with the Banking Ordinance Submission via STET

The Hong Kong Monetary Authority informs authorized institutions that the revised Certificate of Compliance with the Banking Ordinance forms MA(BS)1F(a) and (b) can now be submitted electronically via the STET system. Locally incorporated institutions must use form MA(BS)1F(a) while overseas incorporated institutions must use form MA(BS)1F(b) for reporting periods starting from the first quarter of 2015. The electronic forms and accompanying completion instructions are available for download from the HKMA’s public and supervisory communication websites.

Banking Policy Department 銀行政策部 Our Ref.: B1/15C S4/16C 17 March 2015 The Chief Executive All Authorized Institutions Dear Sir/Madam, Certificate of Compliance with the Banking Ordinance (Form MA(BS)1F(a) and Form MA(BS)1F(b)) Further to my letter of 4 February 2015, I am writing to inform you that our system can now accommodate submission of the revised Certificate of Compliance with the Banking Ordinance (Forms MA(BS)1F(a) and (b)) by authorized institutions (AIs) via the STET system. The revised forms MA(BS)1F(a) and (b) and the accompanying Completion Instructions (CIs) are accessible on the HKMA’s public website (http://www.hkma.gov.hk/eng/key-functions/banking-stability/banking-policy-and-supervision /regulatory-framework.shtml). The electronic forms and CIs are also now available for AIs to download from the HKMA’s supervisory communication website (http://www.stet.iclnet.hk). Locally incorporated AIs should use the electronic form MA(BS)1F(a), and overseas incorporated AIs should use the electronic form MA(BS)1F(b), to report their relevant positions to the HKMA, via the STET system, starting from the reporting period covering the first quarter of 2015.
