Revised Supervisory Policy Manual Module IB-1 on Supervision of Insurance Intermediary Business of Authorized Institutions

The revisions mainly aim to (i) reflect the latest regulatory requirements and guidance issued by the Hong Kong Monetary Authority (“HKMA”) and the Insurance Authority; and (ii) reiterate the regulatory expectations relating to corporate governance and internal controls, including the responsibilities of responsible officers and senior management. The revised SPM module IB-1 will take effect today. It is accessible through the HKMA’s public website (https://brdr.hkma.gov.hk/eng/spm) and the Supervisory Communication Website (https://brdr.stet.iclnet.hk/eng/spm).
