Royal Decree of 21 December 2017 withdrawing the recognition granted to the Belgian law joint-stock company BNY Mellon CSD

The Royal Decree withdraws the recognition of BNY Mellon CSD (enterprise number 501 804 457) as a central securities depository for financial instruments, a status originally granted on 18 December 2012. This withdrawal takes effect on 1 October 2017. The Minister of Finance is responsible for the execution of this decree.

PHILIP, King of the Belgians, To all present and to come, Greetings.

Having regard to the Constitution, Article 108; Having regard to Royal Decree No. 62 of 10 November 1967 promoting the circulation of financial instruments, amended by the laws of 7 April 1995 and of 2 August 2002, Article 1; Having regard to the Royal Decree of 18 December 2012 implementing Royal Decree No. 62 of 10 November 1967 promoting the circulation of financial instruments; On the proposal of the Minister of Finance,

We have decided and decide:

Article 1. The recognition of the Belgian law joint-stock company BNY Mellon CSD, enterprise number 501 804 457, granted on 18 December 2012, as a central securities depository for financial instruments, as described in Article 1, 1°, of Royal Decree No. 62 of 10 November 1967 promoting the circulation of securities, is withdrawn.

Art. 2. This Decree shall take effect on 1 October 2017.

Art. 3. The Minister responsible for Finance is charged with the execution of this Decree.

The approval of the Belgian law joint-stock company BNY Mellon CSD, enterprise number 501 804 457, granted on 18 December 2012, in the capacity of central securities depository for financial instruments as defined in Article 1, 1°, of Royal Decree No. 62 of 10 November 1967 promoting the circulation of securities, is withdrawn.

Art. 2. This Decree shall take effect on 1 October 2017.

Art. 3. The Minister responsible for Finance is charged with the execution of this Decree.
