Our Ref.: B1/15C B10/1C 12 June 2020 The Chief Executive All Authorized Institutions Dear Sir/Madam, Third Issue of Regtech Watch The Hong Kong Monetary Authority published today the third issue of Regtech Watch, which outlines a series of use cases in the space of Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Financing of Terrorism (AML/CFT). Regtech is playing an increasingly important role in money laundering and terrorist financing risk management. As part of its continuing efforts in promoting Regtech adoption, the HKMA has observed a number of use cases where Regtech may help to make the implementation of AML/CFT measures more effective and efficient. Banks may wish to make reference to these use cases in their exploration of the use of technology to strengthen their AML/CFT controls.
