Coverage

Every regulator RegAlert watches, whether our last check of its site worked, and how fast its documents reach you. The numbers come from our own scraper logs and are updated every hour.

How we measure

What each status means

OK
The last scheduled check of the regulator's listing page worked and read the list as expected.
Late
A check is overdue, failed once or twice, or read an empty list. We keep trying on the normal schedule. New documents can come late.
Down
Three or more checks in a row failed — the site is down, has changed, or blocks automated access. New documents can be missed until it works again.
Paused
We stopped checking this source on purpose: it repeats another source, its site blocks us, or its new documents wait for a review.
No scraper
We hold documents from this regulator (for example from an earlier import), but no scraper checks its site.

How each number is measured

Last checked
When our last scheduled check of the regulator's listing page ended, whether it worked or not. Most sources are checked every few hours, some once a day.
Last check OK
The share of watched regulators (OK, Late or Down) whose status is OK now. Paused sources and regulators without a scraper are not in it.
Documents, last 30 days
Documents live on RegAlert whose date — the date the regulator put on the document — is in the last 30 days. Documents we found but did not publish (not regulatory, duplicates) are not counted.
12 months
The same count for each calendar month (UTC), oldest on the left; the last bar is the current month so far. Each regulator's bars are scaled to its own busiest month.
Latest document
The newest date the regulator put on any of its documents on RegAlert.
Found → live
Hours from our scraper finding a document to the document going live on RegAlert, after text extraction, translation, summary and review. For each regulator the median over the last 90 days; the summary shows the median of those regulators' medians.
Issue → found
Days from the date on a document to the day we found it, for documents dated and found in the last 90 days; a document found on or before its own date counts as 0. Medians as above. Older documents we collect when we add a regulator are left out, because they measure our catch-up, not our speed.

Limits

  • Regulators date their documents with a day, not a time, so issue → found is counted in whole days.
  • We can only find what a regulator lists online. Documents sent only by post or e-mail, or kept behind a log-in, are not found.
  • We read the listing pages named under Source, not the whole site. A document posted only somewhere else on the site can be missed.
  • A site that blocks automated access shows as Down (or Paused) until it lets us in; documents posted meanwhile arrive late.
  • The status is the state of the last check, not a promise for the next one. Numbers are recomputed every hour.
