CENTRAL BANK OF BELIZE (AMENDMENT) ACT, 2025 ARRANGEMENT OF SECTIONS

No. 15] Central Bank of Belize 565 AN ACT to amend the Central Bank of Belize Act,
Chapter 262 of the Substantive Laws of Belize, Revised
Edition 2020; to provide for the Director General of the Financial Services Commission to be a member of the Board of Directors of the Central Bank of Belize; and to provide for matters connected therewith or incidental thereto. (Gazetted 2nd August, 2025) BE IT ENACTED, by and with the advice and consent of the House of Representatives and Senate of Belize and by the authority of the same, as follows:

1. This Act may be cited as the
   CENTRAL BANK OF BELIZE (AMENDMENT) ACT, 2025, Short title. No. 15 of 2025 I assent, Dame Froyla Tzalam Deputy Governor-General 25th July, 2025.

and shall be read and construed as one with the Central Bank of Belize Act, which, as amended, is hereinafter referred to as the principal Act.
2. The principal Act is amended in section 2 by inserting
the following term and its corresponding definition in its proper alphabetical sequence– ““Director General” means the Director General of the Financial Services Commission appointed under section 7 of the Financial Services Commission Act;”.
3. The principal Act is amended in section 11(1)(a) by
