DFIM Circular No. 03: Re-fixation of Cash Reserve Ratio (CRR) of Financial Institutions

Bangladesh Bank has re-fixed the Cash Reserve Ratio (CRR) for financial institutions. Financial institutions accepting term deposits must maintain CRR at an average daily rate of 1.5% on a bi-weekly basis, ensuring it is not less than 1.00% on any day. The previous Statutory Liquidity Ratio (SLR) rates of 5% for institutions accepting term deposits and 2.5% for those not accepting deposits remain unchanged. This revised CRR rate is effective from June 1, 2020, until further instructions.
