Decision (EU) 2025/2419 of the European Central Bank on the approval of the volume of coin issuance in 2026
The European Central Bank approved the total volume of euro coin issuance for 2026, which includes circulation and collector coins for euro area Member States and Bulgaria. The Executive Board authorized specific issuance limits for each country, totaling 1,889.75 million EUR for circulation coins and 511.49 million EUR for collector coins. These approved volumes may not be exceeded by the issuing states during 2026 without prior ECB approval.
