DMD Circular Letter No. 08: Publication of an Effective Reference Rate for Bangladesh's Financial Market Money Market Segment
Bangladesh Bank’s Data Management Department issued DMD Circular Letter No. 08 to mandate the daily publication of two new reference rates for the domestic money market segment. Effective 15 April 2026, the central bank will post the transaction-based risk-free Bangladesh Overnight Financing Rate (BOFR) and the unsecured Dhaka Overnight Money Market Rate (DOMMR) on its official website every working day. This directive formally supersedes and rescinds the previous guidelines established in DMD Circular No. 136 dated 21 December 2009.
