Central Bank accepts applications for third period of participation in regulatory sandbox regime

Press Releases A - A + 25 June 2026, Baku: The Central Bank has begun accepting applications for participation in the third period of the special regulatory regime. This stage involves the limited testing under the Bank's supervision of innovative financial products and services, with applications specifically targeting fintech innovators. The application process will remain open for two months, accepting submissions until 25 August 2026. Innovative financial products meeting the regime's criteria will gain testing rights based on contracts concluded with the Central Bank. The special regulatory regime aims to support domestic financial innovation, expand access to financial services, and promote a more transparent and efficient financial market. To participate, applicants must submit the documents and information specified in paragraph 4.2 of the "Rules for the Application of the Special Regulatory Regime" via the dedicated web page (sandbox.cbar.az) or in writing.
