The Central Bank of Sri Lanka issued Circular No. 07 of 2021 to amend existing concessions for borrowers affected by the pandemic. The directive extends the deferment of capital and interest recovery, suspends penal interest, and halts recovery actions for non-performing loans until 30 September 2021. Additionally, it prohibits the charging of early settlement fees and allows for temporary repayment date delays without restructuring.
