Extension of Timelines and Update of Reporting Authority for Digital Accessibility Compliance
The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) has granted extensions to regulated entities for complying with the mandatory digital accessibility requirements under the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016. The regulator has extended key deadlines, including pushing the final remediation date to July 31, 2026, and extending the submission of compliance reports by one month. Additionally, SEBI has designated BSE Ltd. as the sole reporting authority for Investment Advisers and Research Analysts, replacing the previous authorities BASL and SEBI respectively.
