Instruction No. 020/GR/2024 on the Modification of Rates Applicable to Monetary Policy Operations
The Central Bank of Mauritania issued Instruction No. 020/GR/2024 to amend the rates applicable to its monetary policy operations, effective immediately upon signature. The directive sets the Main Policy Rate at 6.5%, establishes the lending facility rate at the Main Policy Rate plus 1%, fixes the fixed-rate liquidity absorption rate at the Main Policy Rate minus 1.5%, and sets the deposit facility rate at the Main Policy Rate minus 3.5%. This instruction explicitly repeals and replaces all prior contrary provisions, including Instruction No. 018/GR/2024.
