Circular No. 68/2025: Letters from the Chief Justice of Palestine Regarding Minors' Funds and Inheritance Documents
The Palestine Monetary Authority issued Circular No. 68/2025 to instruct banks in southern governorates to comply with directives from the Chief Justice of Palestine. Banks are prohibited from disbursing funds belonging to minors without prior authorization from the Sharia Court and approval from the Supreme Sharia Court in Ramallah. Additionally, banks must verify that inheritance restriction documents issued by southern Sharia courts are authenticated by the Chief Justice's office in Ramallah before distributing any inheritance assets.
