The Governor of the National Bank of Serbia has issued this decision to establish detailed conditions and limits for personal and physical cross-border transfers of means of payment. It caps standard personal bank transfers and physical cash movements at EUR 10,000 per month or per trip, while permitting higher amounts for documented purposes such as inheritance, emigration, or banking operations. The regulation mandates customs declarations for amounts exceeding these thresholds, requires banks to comply with anti-money laundering protocols, and formally repeals the previous 2002 and 2005 foreign exchange decisions.
