Decision on Issuance, Basic Features, and Circulation of the 200 KM Convertible Mark Banknote, Ref No: 30/02 dated May 8, 2002

Based on Article 2, paragraph 3, item h., Article 7, item e., Article 39, and Article 42 of the Law on the Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina ("Official Gazette of Bosnia and Herzegovina", No. 1/97), with the approval of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina regarding the design of the convertible mark banknote, the Governing Board of the Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina at its 10th session on May 8, 2002, adopts

D E C I S I O N on the issuance, basic features, and circulation of the convertible mark banknote in the denomination of 200 KM

1. The Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina (hereinafter: the Central Bank) issues and puts into circulation the convertible mark banknote (hereinafter: KM) in the denomination of 200 KM, as legal tender in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

2. The banknote referred to in item 1 of this Decision is printed on specially protected paper with an embossed watermark and other visible and hidden forms of protection.

3. The banknote referred to in item 1 of this Decision has dimensions of 156 mm x 76 mm. The front and back of the banknote are predominantly blue with yellow and green colors present.

4. On the banknote referred to in item 1 of this Decision, the name and words are printed in Latin and Cyrillic scripts in an alternating order, such that in some places on the banknote the text is first printed in Latin, and below it in Cyrillic, and in other places the text is first printed in Cyrillic, and below it in Latin.

5. On the front of the banknote are:
   The name "CENTRALNA BANKA BOSNE I HERCEGOVINE" in Latin and Cyrillic scripts, and the words "KONVERTIBILNIH MARAKA" and "DVIJE STOTINE KONVERTIBILNIH MARAKA" in Cyrillic and Latin scripts. The value mark "200" indicated three times in prominent places. Portrait of the writer Ivo Andrić with his first and last name in Cyrillic and Latin scripts and dates of birth and death. Signature of the Governor with the word "GUVERNER" in Latin and Cyrillic scripts and a serial number with capital letters and seven digits. Design and security elements that enhance the artistic impression and security of the banknote.

6. On the back of the banknote are:
   The name "CENTRALNA BANKA BOSNE I HERCEGOVINE" in Cyrillic and Latin scripts.
   The words "DVIJE STOTINE KONVERTIBILNIH MARAKA" in Latin and Cyrillic scripts.
   The value mark "200" indicated four times in prominent places.
   Image of the Bridge on the Drina with the words "MOST NA DRINI" in Latin and Cyrillic scripts.
   Printer's mark and year of printing "Oebs 2002" in the upper right part of the banknote (rotated 90 degrees counter-clockwise).
   Design and security elements that enhance the artistic impression and security of the banknote.

7. Regarding the specific protective characteristics of the banknote referred to in item 1 of this Decision, the Governor will inform commercial banks in an appropriate manner, with the provision that one protective element of this banknote is known exclusively to the Central Bank.

8. The banknote referred to in item 1 of this Decision will be put into circulation on May 15, 2002.

9. This Decision enters into force on the day of its adoption, and will be published in the "Official Gazette of BiH", "Official Gazette of the Federation of BiH", and "Official Gazette of the Republika Srpska".
